Robert Brooks was out for a drive when he forgot to watch out for deer. He pulled his car over and got out. He noticed another car's headlights approaching but didn't see the flying deer which
broke his ankle.
Brooks was driving near San Francisco when he thought he had hit a deer. He pulled over to see if his car had any damage but while he was checking, a second car smashed into the deer and sent it careening into Brooks, breaking his ankle. The other driver, possibly knowing how dangerous the deer in the area are, never stopped.
