An 82 year-old woman was convicted in Waco Texas for attempted assault on a peace officer.   Police officers were questioning Ester McCullough when she tried to leave the scene and enter her house.   One officer attempted to restrain her by grabbing her leg.   McCullough complained the officer had hurt her surgically replaced hips so she tried to strike him with her cane.

Did I forget to mention McCullough was being questioned about the whereabouts of her handgun which her attorney said she had fired into the air to scare away her neighbor's dog?   According to the Press of Atlantic City, McCullough has a previous misdemeanor conviction for shooting a hole in a car when her daughter's boyfriend caused a disturbance and refused to leave.

I guess some old people are more ornery than others.
