A St. Louis tavern owner who also happens to be an alderman is seeking to have
penalties for public urination lowered before the upcoming Mardi Gras Parade. In particular, he wants very low penalties for people who, like our friend to the left, try to be discreet about it. He says, "there's a difference between going in the middle of the street, in front of God and country, and somebody who is behind a Dumpster." Apparently many local residents disagree with the alderman saying that the practice is offensive. They turn on their irrigation systems to discourage parade pee-ers. Says one, "That's what portable toilets are for. We don't appreciate going out and seeing it." Personally, I think porta-potties smell pretty offensive too.
